Sandrine Bramley is a Nottinghamshire-based textile artist and the founder of The Frog in the Craft, a small business specialising in heritage-inspired textile crafts and hand sewing. Her work focuses on traditional techniques, adapted for modern makers through accessible, practical teaching.
Largely self-taught, Sandrine has developed her practice through years of hands-on making and research into historical textile methods.

Alongside her teaching, she creates her own button designs, combining traditional techniques with contemporary approaches and, at times, blending multiple techniques within a single piece. She delivers workshops across Nottinghamshire and Derbyshire, working with community groups, organisations such as Ashfield Creates, and local venues. Her teaching centres on clear guidance, confidence-building, and process-led making, encouraging participants to explore at their own pace and make each piece their own. Through her work, she aims to reconnect people with traditional crafts in a way that feels achievable, engaging, and relevant today.

Learn simple tools to help ease life stresses, get support and form friendships in a warm non-judgmental environment. When funding allows we also provide fun activities and trips for your physical and mental well-being.
