Plot Your Story in a Day is a friendly, confidence‑building creative writing workshop designed for anyone who wants to explore storytelling in an accessible and enjoyable way. Across a relaxed and inspiring day, participants will develop a story idea, shape a simple structure, build characters, and leave with a clear starting point for their writing journey.
No previous experience is needed — just curiosity and imagination. The workshop is led by Sarah, a children’s storyteller, community facilitator, and mystery author writing under the pen name Aubrey Fox.
Sarah has delivered online storytelling sessions, community‑based creative workshops, and The Fable Maker programme through Ashfield Creates. She has also written and directed three community plays using a collaborative approach that supports local people to develop characters, build confidence, and take ownership of the creative process.
Throughout the day, participants will take part in guided activities, group discussions, and hands‑on exercises using high‑quality materials and personalised participant packs.
Each person will leave with a storyboard or written opening, practical tools they can use again, and a printed certificate to celebrate their achievement.
These sessions are intended for community members 18+.
Dream with Colour is a creative space where stories, communities, and ideas grow, not as polished products, but as living journeys.
This is a creative playground and virtual storyboard: a place where writers, dreamers, and community builders can explore imagination, shape meaningful stories, and develop projects step by step.
Created by author and creative mentor Sarah E. Waring, Dream with Colour brings together storytelling, creative writing support, workshops, and community projects for people who want to express themselves, connect with others, and add more colour to their world.
