Sarah Waring is a creative writer, author, and storyteller who’s endlessly curious about people and the stories that shape us. A lot of her writing has grown out of years spent working with children in residential homes, youth clubs, and communities, places full of resilience, humour, imagination, and very real human connection. Those experiences didn’t just influence her work they changed the way she listens, notices, and tells stories. She is also dyslexic and really passionate about supporting storytelling despite any limitations that people may perceive they have. She has been a professional writer for nearly a decade, and alongside that Sarah work’s as a Wellbeing Assistant, supporting her community in ways that feel grounded, meaningful, and deeply human. Whether on the page or in everyday life, Sarah cares about presence, empathy, and making space for people to be heard. She has also created resources for adults who wish to develop their storytelling and creative writing techniques, and has developed a friendly site for families to support their children on their creative journeys. Recently, Sarah transitioned from solely writing books to engaging more in interactive storytelling. www.dreamwithcolour.com and www.thefableteller.com Sarah’s academic path reflects that mix of curiosity and care. She holds a HND in Community and Youth Studies, a Diploma in Children’s Residential Care, and a degree in Philosophy and Creative Writing. Sarah has always been drawn to big questions, lived experience, and the quiet belief that stories help us understand ourselves and each other a little better.
