Join dance artist Karla Jones for a fun-filled summer dance series at Willets Court! Discover new moves, groove to funky tunes, and enjoy a welcoming space where you can get active, have fun, and meet new people from your community. Each session is designed to be relaxed, inclusive, and suitable for all abilities, so whether you’re a seasoned dancer or trying something new for the first time, you’ll feel right at home.
To celebrate the end of the series, our final session will feature a special extended silent disco, giving everyone the chance to dance, connect, and enjoy the music together in a unique and memorable way.
No dance experience is needed, just come as you are, wear comfortable clothes, and bring a water bottle. We can’t wait to dance with you this summer!
Karla Jones is a freelance dance artist living and working across the East Midlands. She has worked with children and young people since graduating in 2008, initially establishing her own successful performing arts school then gaining her Diploma in Dance Teaching and Learning (Young People) which led to project based community and participatory work for multiple high profile organisations across the region including: Nonsuch and Ashfield Creates, as well as Junction Arts, Platform Thirty1, Talent 25 and The Spark Arts for Children. She is currently working in a SEND school 1:1 as well as leading on the PLAYGROUND project for Chesterfield Children’s Festival.
